Important: Take it from someone who was wildland firefighter and got Poison Ivy. Use Technu. You can find it anywhere in Walmart, Target, and pharmacies. It started on my neck even through my Nomex shroud. It ultimately spread to my nuts too.
Do not scratch, the Technu acts like detergent on oils. It breaks the poison ivy oils from the skin but the oils will get on other parts too. If itch is too much then use a Qtip and apply any soothing Calamine or anti-itch temporarily.

You have my sympathy, for sure! I'm very allergic to PI too, just go to your regular Doctor, they give you a shot of Penicylin (not sure of spelling?) and will dry up within 24 hrs. Mean while, back at the ranch, take a very warm bath in AVEENO (not sure of spell?) Oat bath. Can get this at Walmart, in the bubble bath isle. Comes in packets, and in 4 or 6 pk. box of the packets. Not real expensive. Helps itch go away and also dries out the sores. ****What ever foot wear or clothing you were wearing when you came into contact with the PI, MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THEM/WASH OFF before wearing again! The oil from PI is nasty.**** Once got it in winter, was ice skating on a frozen swamp/bog. My mom got it too, a day later, but she hadn't been with me. She was however the one who put my boots and snowsuit in the mud room to dry. Had to have been oil on something yet!*Good luck with this, really hope you get well soon!
pour straight bleach on a rag whipe dpown all infected areas. let air dry. throw your old shoes and what ever u were wearing away. The oil from the plant can survive for a couple years on a pair of hunting boots good luck
