The same as the diffs. b/twn the other games that came out in pairs: the pokemon you can encounter, the frequency of finding certain pokemon, the different box covers, the differently decorated game carts, and the different main screens.

The two new games are pretty good since they are basically just enhanced versions of the old ones. My favorite was still blue version though, since it was the first one I ever played. (I didn't play the games in order). The problem with the older games is that it is extremely rare that you'll find a copy that doesn't have the glitch that doesn't allow saving the game or will keep saved data for a while but will eventually delete it. What they need to do is re-release all of the old GB/GBcolor/GBA games (without changing anything) for the DS.

Agreed 100%. Not gonna lie, I still break out pokemon firered (Same as Red and Blue but just better graphics, no new pokemon) for long car rides.. It's so fun to try to collect 'em all, especially when you unlock the 'lil breeding center and you can hatch eggs. But I absolutely hate any post-Silver and Gold pokemon. Ruby, Saphire, Pearl, and Diamond totally sucked. So in conclusion, Pokemon Red, Blue, Gold, and Silver are awesome (as are their remakes) but anything else sucks and blows at the same time.

Same here. They're still freshly preserved in my drawer since I stopped collecting 8 years ago. The albums weigh about 15 pounds total I'll bet.

I will admit it, I am a 25 yr old female and I have a DS lite and a DSi and currently own Pokemon - red, blue, leaf green, fire red, sapphire, ruby, emerald, diamond, pearl, platinum, soulsilver, and heartgold. As well as a few of the side games like mystery dungeon and the like. Bought soulsilver and heartgold on pre-order.I don't like the side games as well as the main ones. They are just easy mindless things to do when I am bored, before I go to bed, or am stuck somewhere for a while with nothing else around (like in a plane or such)

That and it's a wonderful outlet for my OCD. Gotta Catch 'Em All!
