That explains where the blue comes from in the polar blues.Polar parrots are just honduran red points (close cousin to the convict cichlid) with the short body gene. They may have parrot in the name but it's only referencing the body style, there is no BP genes in a polar parrot. It's a common misconception. So no ya won't have any BP traits show at all.
Technically yes it will. They body may not grow to it's full size but the organs inside still do. This is why most SB's tend to have the more BP like body style and tend to have a shorter lifespan unlike the BP. The BP is an oddball in that for some reason they don't have the same health issues that a SB would have. I think it's due to them having this weird double ribcage compaired to most other fish.Since the polar blues are short bodied, will it effect the health of her or her offspring (if they have any)?
