Was this the same baker accused of putting an anti-*** slur on the cake, and was later found out the *** person actually did it?

The difference is the baker didn't want to make a 'special' cake that he has never made before whereas the cops ordered common food that tons of people order everyday

Agreed but the baker was hammered over his actions when most say the taco bell workers were within their rights... the bakers story went on and on for weeks. Media chooses what acceptable smh

Im talking about the baker that didnt want to bake a wedding cake for an unconventional wedding.

My beef is more with how bad the hypocrisy is not soo much the actual events

In one my old neighborhoods the police force is composed entirely of cops who failed in other areas for various reasons such as being lazy, drunk all the time or serious anger issues, I hate those guys they need to be fired, we always made sure the cops were afraid of us there

First of all,why would a department even want such a bunch of hacks and misfits? They sound like they are more trouble than they are worth....and,LOL! at the cops being afraid of you all there....one of my old supervisors had a saying that he loved to recite,"If you are scared,go upstairs, turn in your badge and uniform and get a dog".I loved it when he said that, cracked me up every time.

Then it woud should be ok for a baker to refuse to make cakes for someone that clashes with his beliefs

well, my opinion personally, i think any independent owner of a business can sell to or refuse to sell to anyone for whatever reason they feel like. it doesn't bother me.

people getting their pannies in a bunch over this is funny to me. i simply don't get upset over stupid things like that. if you own a donut shop or whatever, and i walk in and you're like, i don't sell to asians. I'd be like, eh, eff you too then b****, and take my yellow ass to another donut shop. i wouldn't feel the urge to post it on social media to get you or call the local news to try to get my anger out there to be heard. i simply have better things to do, seriously.

for sure i'd let my fish nerds community on mfk know though, lol. that would be the extent of my actions

the whole discussion with the baker is a slippery slope. Again land of the free works both ways, to denie service for no other reason than some one beliefs can be seen as discrimination.

i'm not sure but my thought is, religion is protected, so if something goes against your religion then you can refuse a service as an owner

i really don't think it's against the law to be a racist either. so if you discriminate, nobody can do anything about it can they? i mean, it won't be a smart thing to do for your business but you sure can do it if you choose to

although if you discriminate, i'm thinking you better be careful on what you do exactly because you can get sued. if you are not gonna hire someone, for example, don't be an idiot and openly say you aren't hiring them because of their ethnicity or their religion or their sexual orientation or something like that
