IMO rays feed on Market Prawns (MP) will grow faster & develop more mass.

However, not all ray are willing to feed on MP that willingly; hence traning is needed to convert them.

Apart from MP, u can used bate fish, gold fish, worms, & feeders of any kind.

Sure hope that answers you Q.

Thanks for the info tyson. Rays here in the US are regularly fed Black Worms ( they look like Tubifex but theyre not ) , Market Shrimps ( Prawns are too expensive) , smelt , some sinking pellets and feeder fish.

im sorry for comming on like a hard ass
i post on aro fanitacs and every one calls it a pdr but when i say nice leo, no1 knows what im talking about

it's ok, just a difference in the naming term. Guess we just have to get use to it, leo in MFK and PDR in AF

na dont worry about it

just know what a leo and heneli is
thanks

Its just a term.. like we call it FRT here in the states and Australians and in the East, its called a PNT.

That is awesome...I am actually getting on of those soon...leopoldi right?
I've been waiting for about 6 months now for them to get on the list...they say within the next couple of weeks they should be coming in. I can't wait!

Black rays are up there on my list of most desirable fish.
They are worth the wait! Just make sure your water parameters
are perfect when you get them.
