thanks for the replies!

I thought there would be more shrimp keepers out there as feeders or and a cleaner crew.

i have ghost shrimp, amano shrimp, and cherry shrimp...the only ones i have had breed yet are the ghost shrimp...but i am reletively new to this and have not had any of them for that long.

keep those replies coming... my wife's job depends on this! (evil laugh mu-haha)

I used to breed my own Cherry Red Shirmp, now i only breed my own marble crays as feeders...

When it comes to pellet foods, i use to use some special japanese pellet food for my cherry reds as well as JBL Shrimp Pellet Food...

For my crays i just use JBL Shrimp pellet food, as well as bits of left overs from my puffers i.e. mussels, scallops stuff like that...

BTW, the reason i think you aren't getting many answers is cause your asking a invert question in the breeding section of the forum... coz to be honest, if it wasn't at the top of the breeding thread i wouldn't have noticed it while scrolling down the forum main page...

I have amano shrimp in my 20 long and a big cleaner shrimp in my 40 breeder reef. The amano are very chill, but get real active around water change time. I have a piece of floating driftwood in the tank and they love to hang around on that. When my kribs spawned inside the piece, the shrimp didn't bother anyone. I like the amanos for algae control but supplement their diet with small bits of algae wafers. My cleaner shrimp is a great scavenger and eats whatever gets thrown in there. He lives with a flasher wrasse but they get along famously, probably bc he is so big.

Thunder that is excellent info!

I hope others can provide details also :D
