Knowing what i know now i have no idea why i was that stupid not to ask. The world won't openly mock and laugh at you if you get knocked back, everyone has their own issues and problems to worry about and won't dwell on yours if it goes wrong for you, just accept it as part of life and you'll meet another girl you like soon. There's plenty more fish on mfk- er i mean in the sea.
You see, i've noticed with women, it's not about the objects themselves. It's what the object represents... status. A $1200 dollar purse means nothing to a woman if they didn't think other people would give a reaction to it.jcardona1;3785502; said:
see with hobbies it's ok. but i think it's a little pathetic when it comes to meaningless things like clothing and accessories. like a $30 purse is gonna do the same thing as a $1200 Gucci purse. shoes, theyre all the same really.
You mean they want to "win" you, then take over the world! Your proving the point that materialistic woman like to feel in charge, to make up for their low self esteem.Stump;3793359; said:You see, i've noticed with women, it's not about the objects themselves. I've noticed a few things at my young age (and I don't even have a girlfriend). One of them is that all they need is to feel like you will do anything for them at a drop of a hat. Ever notice how if they ask you for something and you tell them "ok" right away, they aren't nearly as enthused as they would be if you were to say "I don't know..." or something, and eventually give in? It's because they won you over... It makes them feel special. That's what they want.

Low maintenace FTW! As someone wrote earlier, high maintenance women are for the guys that need a hobby or a pet. If i spent all my hard earnedROFL
money on buying expensive clothes and jewlery for my girlfriend then i wouldn't have the fish and 'big toys' that i do and not been the person i am today. I enjoy having relaxed company, not worrying every 10 seconds whether this dress makes her look fat (guys, the correct answer to that is 'no huni, your fat makes you look fat') and not getting paranoid every second of the day where i am or who i'm with.
Don't get me wrong, i still like to think up special things to get her or take her to but try not to make it something everyday and predictable (which is quite tough actually) but she doesn't demand it of me or expect it. Half the time i don't even notice if mrs satan has make-up on or not, she always looks just as good to me what ever she's in and i wouldn't want her to change. Maybe a lot of the high maintenance girls miss this point? If a guy really wants to be with you then it's to be with 'you', not a brand label covered, make up preped in a cement mixer, over demanding money pit. That just sounds like misery to me. I have a friend that's into expensive designer clothing, and then she got very upset when another friends baby decided to puke milk all over her £200 jeans. There's a lesson there.
My dad managed to support my step mom through it. She is not superficial but I know it was stressful for them... Thankfully I moved out towards the end...kdrun76;3786753; said:Perfect summation.
I am happy to wear Walmart jeans and a hoodie, but need my husband to build me a 550 gallon tank. I would rather stay home and cook a decent meal (with enough left overs for tomorrow's lunch) than go out to eat, but I ride and race a bicycle worth more than my car.
I am well into my PhD... you want to talk high maintenance! My tuition bills have stripped us down to bare essentials. Do I NEED a PhD? No. Do I WANT a PhD? OHHHH HELL YES!
I see your fru fru purse and raise you one fru fru education. I assure you, my tuition costs more than any high maintenance chicks dining and clothing bills. But here I sit in my walmart jeans and a hoodie wondering how I am going to buy the filters to run that new tank Mike is building.
High Maintenance is relative. I doubt very many of you have the stamina to support your spouse through her PhD. (Finances are one thing, the emotional drama is where the real support is needed!)
