All over it, Echo. The only one that may/could top him is fishfreak's. Great looking Texas, fishfreak.

Thanks fellas. Titus is my boy. I love his attitude. I knew he was going to be a bruiser when he started picking fights with my two oscars who were about twice his size. He is still not nearly as big as they are, but commands respect from everyone... even my hands which he has taken a liking too.

A few more pics (hope this isn't against the rules or anything). It seems the voters think Titus' color is lacking... I assure you it is not. The pics are without flash.

those pix look much better, echo!

Wow! He looks so much better! I'm of the opinion that camera flashes generally make fish look awful (unless you have those fancy overhead ones)

My GT looks yellow with the flash, green without.

I wish you had posted those before. I voted for him anyway though.

A bit off topic, but what do you guys prefer. Carpintis or Cyano?

Thanks for the compliments. It's just much harder to get clean crisp pictures without flash. That's why the majority of my pics are taken with flash. (in other words I'm lazy) But yes, I agree completely. Flash totally washes out a fishes color.

I prefer Cyano, of course. :D

I voted for mine but just for the fact that you put it in this thread lol! Why..? Too bad it died a couple of days ago. I am like 1/20 with these things. None of them have ever died within the first couple of days, or from a sickness or anything either. I always just find them in the bottom of the tank with their eyes eaten out. It has to have something to do with my 8.0 pH. People say these things are hardy, but not in my water. I know they can live in the 8.0 it must have something to do with the hardness of my water. I need to get a kit and test my kH and all of that. Anybody have any idea..?

I've heard that the little ones are much harder to keep alive. If I get one, I will probably try and get a larger one. Maybe you should try that.

I used to think the carpintis were much nicer, but echo's cyano is so amazing, I think maybe I like those better.

How do you guys pronounce "cyanoguttatum"?

I say ky-an-oh-guh-tot-em

I pronounce it the same way except with an 'S' at the beginning.

The strange thing about me keeping them alive is.. I got a whole bunch of them for $1 at my LFS (about 20 of them all at different times and even different batches.) Most of them were 1.5-2. I just raised this one to 3-3.5. It took about 4 months to randomly die. Makes no sense to me..

Yea, that is strange. I've not had problems with my guy. The only one I've bought, and he's never been sick. My water isn't quite as hard as yours, but I wouldn't think that would matter that much.
