I think I posted the poll in a confusing way. I wanted people to click on which fish to get rid of. Not which fish to keep.. . Anyone have a different answer now?

I would have to get rid of the GT. I have 2 of them and they have always been on of my favorite fish, but as you said, Dats are more rare and slower growing. I think you could enjoy the Dat for a nice long time, then sell it, buy a GT, and have the same size GT in a 1/4 of the time it took to get the Dat to the selling size. You could probably make enough money to get a tank for each and get juvies of each.

I like the rareness of the Dat... Like you said you can get a GT anytime.. I'd stick with the Dat..

get any other dat but the silver.they dont look that good when they get bigger.get atleast a indo dat.its cheap and nice

i would think the dat would end up having as much personality as the GT. my AT has as much personality as any oscar i've had.

IMO a silver dat is much more impressive looking than a GT
