polleni question

what do you guys feed your polleni. Mine will eat shrimp sometimes and sometimes not. always spits the pellets in and out. not sure he gets the food down very often.

also would like to know if i put some real plants in the tank will he tear then up?

I believe if you keep them in a community of gluttons it sometimes helps, I had a few a couple years back that became picky as they got older when kept in sparsely populated tanks, the ones I have now are @4" and seem to like the HBH soft spirulina and krill.

My polleni eats everything. He especially likes fresh shrimp.

I just got one this weekend. I wish I could find a few more, but they aren't that easy to get a hold of. I am growing a fondness for these little guys.

The kieneri are schoolers, as you can see by the 1st pics, out of the normal cichlid element that I'm used to. Thinking it's because they are very primitive.
