Guys can't we just agree that upper and lower can be kept together as long as the size difference is not too ridiculous, the poly's are kept well fed, live food is avoided and tank size is sufficient?

I think both of you guys are saying pretty similar things. Anyways it’s okay to have differences in opinion and experience. That’s what makes this section fun.Dr.B’s post was a good summary.


For me personally, I wouldn’t keep substantially smaller polys with larger ones. With that being said....individual fish temperament, opportunity of food, prey drive, and hunger all play a part in whether they can cohabitate peacefully or get eaten. It can be done successfully, but for me it’s too much rolling the dice. Individual preference. I think we are all saying the same thing at this point.
