definitely a nigerian lap, same one with mine, congrats..
watch out for the gravels that you use, sands or bare bottom tank also looks nice and safer. There were few cases when bichirs accidentally swallow gravels in the tank and end up dead. By the way, what size is the tank?you need a big tank for a lap, I say at least 100g or bigger.

well some people may get away with gravels, but I would not risk it, its not save, bichirs are greedy and would eat anything they can fit in their mouth. I rather use white sands if I could find any, it looks nice and clean.
I live in indo, so maybe not so much different compare to yours in terms of bichirs. I bought mine a month ago, and it wasnt available before. And now the lfs run out of lap again. The next species I wanna get is delhezy which is also hard to get here. Currently in my 200g are, Sens, albino sens, longfinned sens, longfinned albinos, endlis, ornates, congi, and a lap.
How big is your tank?I mean in gallons?
Its best to feed them pellets or prepare food, instead of giving them live food which cost you more, and chances of bacterias infections. When I first had mine, I used to feed them live food that I quarantined, which is goldfish, but soon as I've joined this forum, I found out that live foods are no good at all and I stop using them. However, what people don't realize that goldfish is actually a steroid for your bichirs. It boost their growth for within couples months. Heck, I feel guilty telling you this info, so dont try that at home. Once they get them self on live foods, it will be very hard to get them to eat pellets.
cheers

maybe a dark Polypterus katangae, or a really dark captive bread delhezi

Polypterus bichir katangae is no longer valid as it's a synonym of polypetrus endlciheri congicus.

The bichir is 100% Captive breed polypterus bichir lapradei "Nigeria" a bullet head too.
