Friend of mine picked this up from a box store for $20 and dropped him off to me. Was labeled Nigerian bichir. Any ideas what he is?

Colors and pattern are very dark for any endi I've seen, but then again I'm not a expert at all.

Endli/ansorgii hybrid???? Colors look endli but pattern reminds me of that lapradei/ansorgii-ish pattern

Ansorgii and lapradei have patterns that are almost identical, except for a few minor differences
