The white stuff on the gills is concerning. It's being fed goldfish and feeders.
 
No it's still available. I was trying to get some feelers out to see if it was a poss PBB. If it was a possible PBB then I was gonna drive and buy it asap. Don't see many laps or varients here in central Florida. It was ID'd as a palmas by the owner but we all know it's not.
From what Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 told me, its hard to tell a young PBB from a nigerian lap, bought look the same, some will have the same fin counts and head shape are the same, all my 4 nigerian lap had dark green pattern and brown base color similar to PBB, but now that they are getting bigger they start to lighten up, so i guess PBB will maintain the dark pattern and brown base color when they hit adult size and nigerian will be lighter green in adult size.

that would concern me too. Respiratory mucous build up/bacterial infection?

Hard to tell but not for me to worry about at this time.
