What? I have something you don't have yet? I thought that was impossible but you proved me wrong.

What's SP? How big are your teugelsi? I got the teugelsi from Toyin at 17" and 18". They only grew one or two inches since.
Can you post pics of your two 23" lap? I want to see if it looks the same.
They are still under quarantine and they came in with a lot of those worm like parasite that attached itself on the skin. I'll wait for them to get cured and far and stable before I post them here. They are very very skinny right now and have lots of slime coat lost.
And yes you have something that I don't have yet. A palmas palmas, a sp. "dabola" and a plat sene. However I'll be getting my sp. "dabola" and sp. "koloton" soon. And my Tuegelsi is roughly around 13" and growing slow. Got it from Toyin as well at 6".
As for the "sp"... It's stand for species. Usually use to undescribe species. For example: Polypterus sp. "Cameroon" was an old name for polypterus tuegelsi as it was undecribed back then. Same with polypterus sp. "Congo"/polypterus sp. "Zaire green". It was an old name for polypterus retropinnis. Right now Polypterus sp. "Dabola", Polypterus sp. "Koloton and Polypterus sp. "Koliba" are still undescribe as they still debating of they are a new species or a new sub-species for bichir complex or endlicheri complex.
There are more bichirs that are still undecribe such as...
-Polypterus sp. aff. congicus a.k.a gisela's bichir
-Polypterus sp. aff. senegalus "turkana"
-Polypterus sp. aff. endlicheri
-Polypterus sp. "Liberia". In Guinea they call this the p. sp. "Black Lowei"
-Polypterus cf. palmas
-Polypterus cf. ansorgii
-Polypterus cf. weeksi
-Polypterus cf. senegalus
-Polypterus cf. ornatippinis
and many more....
Right now palmas complex, senegalus complex, bichir complex and endlicheri complex are unstable as many more are popping out.
