Is that a breed of Anubias? and did you silicone something to the tank to hold it?

Tank looks good by the way. crowded enough to be active and have lots of fish to draw the eye but not so bad that they look cramped.

They're secured with zip ties and suction cups. I'd prefer the anubia barterri to be on the substrate, but polys will annoyingly hide behind them in great lengths. This is why I mounted most to the back wall. I'll eventually ad some floating dwarf lettuce too.

Nice tank. Good movement with the Apollo sharks.

How's the dat with the top dwellers?

Thanks. The silver dat and Distochidous are fine with the apollo sharks. I've tried 4" sharks a long time ago when I had 13"-17" indo dats. That did not work out too well because 1 became a snack immediately, and had to exchange the others.

I have Anubias nana? in mine I believe I ziptied it up on my driftwood. In the substrate I have Giant Jungle val, is enough for them to feel secure behind but not disappear. Then on the stack of lava rock I have a spreading jungle of java fern. They worm through the root tufts and leaves alike on the java fern .

I had not thought of useing suction cups to attach plants... think I see a green background in my future Suction cups + plastic mesh + anubias and or ferns (no moss).

I realy like the shape of the leaves on the baterri. Will watch for it at my auction this weekend I am primarily going for lights and heaters I can happily add plants to that.

Dunno why I didnt think of it but thanks for the idea. Used suction cups for loads of stuff just never that lol.

No probs. If the suction cup does not have a pre-existing hole. Just attach a small zip tie on the nub securely with 3-4 ties that are already looped. Then just tie the plant on to the loops is what I did.

As for the Barteri. Believe these get much bigger than nana. The Barteri fine roots and large rhizomes allow you to cut them to pieces.

Nice! How big is the tank? Is the tank a bit dim?
