Ok just in case you don't know the term definitions here:
Monocarpic;
Most bromeliad spp are monocarpic. This means that after they flower and finish blooming they die and seedlings form around the base of the mother plant.
Polycarpic;
Poly means more than 1 you can probably guess what this means based on the other definition.
Bromeliad;
A family of mostly monocarpic plants which includes the genus's tillandsia ( all airplants), agave (where drinking alcohol comes from).
I'm looking for air plants that don't die after they finish flowering (polycarpic). Much better if the plant looks nice and the flowers look nice. And no protected species that I could never acquire for my collection. So it needs to be purchasable legally. I already know about how if you cut off the flower stock it lives. But I don't want to have to do that. I googled it but I couldn't find any solid results. It was semi-helpful. But not good enough.
