That's terrible man, I was looking forward to seeing all these awesome US natives in the aquariums of MFK. It was definitely awesome that you put the time and effort into something like this for everyone on MFK. If anyone is upset with you, they obviously are selfish and don't realize the effort you put into this process. Hopefully next year works out for the hatchery, you and the MFK community. One last thing... THANK YOU for making such an effort to bring such an awesome fish to the hobby!

Bad news, guys.

I just got off of the phone with my contact at Osage Catfisheries. Apparently the weird weather here in Central Missouri has caused the ponds at the farm to crash. They had an enormous number of fish die, to include over 300,000 paddlefish fry; their entire YoY inventory for this year.

Please accept my sincerest apologies on behalf of myself and Osage Catfisheries. I've been assured that they will give us another go at this next year, but I won't be in Missouri to handle it so I don't know if it will happen.

I'm terribly sorry guys. Don't beat me up too bad...

What a bummer.. but that just means next year there will be that many more people ready/wanting them!
