Polypteridae Sizes (lengths)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great. Now for whatever reason, I will see Spiritofthesoul as that tiny handed Burger King guy with matching forearms.

.......

Just to be clear, I don't have midget arms!

We have Ansorgii, Bichir Bichir and Congicus going up to 85cm here in Japan.
That's 33". So the idea of a piece 5" bigger out there in the wild is not that crazy thought.

Now these bigger sized fish are going to cost you SERIOUS money.

82cm (missing a large chunk of caudal fin so 84cm is likely)

There is a member from another forum that posted a pic of a 31" Endlicheri next to a tape measure too!

WOAHHH just saw this! unbelievable! :D

This should be a sticky :)

Glad to see this thread revived, I LOVE the info on the captive versus wild sizes. This is a gap in knowledge that a LOT of folks in the hobby have been curious about.

Yeah I was curius and knew I had seen this thread before so I searched it up, took som time but well worth it :P
