21" used to have two one died from fungal infection. The remains was the skull pics that you saw from the other tread I started. If I didn't ruined the skeleton I would have let it on it's full structure.
Did you buy him at 21"? That's one amazing bichir.

very nice, Earl. So does red sand bring out its colors that much?
Yes red does improves colors but don't go changing your gravel thinking your lapradei is going to morph like his lap.:grinno: The lap he has was borned with great colors and red sand only enhance it even more. I have one that is on black bare bottom and it looks similiar.

Earl, how big was the box? I would think it's a gigantic box to ship a 21" bichir. Last time I got 15" bichir from Toyin then came in a gigantic box. The clerk at the airport though it was a puppy inside cuz the box said live animal.

Nice to see that lap again, I like the golden base color on yours. And yes it came in with a big box. 30"x24" and the shipping cost was a killer too as it was kinda heavy. 15 of them came in but I only hold on to two and sold the rest to some of my friends. I might buy them back if they are planning on selling theirs.

i like this lap of yours

Thank you Master!

The only down side to this kind of Nigerian lap is that people might sell them to hobbyist with the name labeled as "Polypterus bichir bcihir" and they could end up being ripped off.
