They are actually the second biggest at 38".

King-el must have been thinking about the congicus. record for congicus was 97cm (38"). Largest ansorgii imported in Japan i've seen so far was 82cm (32").

depends on the fish. But relative to its potential size, yeah it's slow.

It was in a Japanese Magazine that I've read while I was in Singapore. Congi at 42", ansorgii at 38" and PBB at 37". Magazine was called Aqua PolyMaterial or something. Can't remember the exact title of the magazine.

Who knows there are might be bigger ones out there just waiting to be find. Every year bigger bichirs are being caught and keeps breaking the record.

Oh wow, nice!!! I wonder how many years it took him to get that size? They are real slow growers after 8" (imo)
