How big were the ones they used in the experiment? Did they say in the article cuz I might've missed it. This experiment just doesn't sound like it would've worked very well with large bichirs

I believe it said they were young and senegals at that. My guess would maybe be 2-3 inches but even if adults they were all probably CB so if they were adults ~8-10 inches I'd guess.

Even though this is fascinating. I am not at all shocked just think about how they were created, and have external gills like newts when they hatch from eggs lol
