Polypterus Delhezi "albino"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It was some stupid facebook answer. But I think I finally found a credible source! It says that partial albinism can't exist (he's talking about birds but I think in general), but it also says that leucistic eyes are always dark. Here's the link!

I really learned a lot from this thread btw!

looks lik a albino sen 2 me
Based on the presence of faint black striping on its body and dorsal fins, I'm 99.9999999999% sure it is a del (the missing .00000000001% is only b/c there is a slim possibility that it could have another mutation that we don't know about in addition to the mutation we've already been attempting to identify...) :nilly:

nice bichir.

yeah the presence of some faint striping near the tail would suggest it's not an albino senegal, but i wouldn't rule out a delhezi x albino senegal hybrid, since the head and the position of the first dorsal finlet do remind me of a senegal. And by cross breeding with albino senegal, they also have a higher chance of producing an albino.

I didn't even know that was possible :nilly:
