I bet water is clean crystal clean what do you feed your polys
It's clear most of the time except when I turn off the 2 canister filters off to feed and forget to turn them back on till the next morning(oops)

that tank gets
Tilapia every 2-3 days
cichlid gold on days with no tilapia
hikari carnivore pellets on days with tilapia
jumbo mysis shrimp daily
jumbo bloodworms daily
flake food for feeder fish
cucumber in the tank at all time for plecos
nightcrawlers daily for my eels

Actual beef would be horrible as food. I'd leave it.

Recently moulted (white) mealworms are good, slightly messy though.
