Hello, my first post, and Im hoping your message is a godsend. I have an ornate bichir, had him/her approx. 6 or 7 years, and he has far outgrown the 75 gallon I have him in. I live on the third floor, I rent, and a larger aquarium is not an option. He is between 18 and 20 inches long. I have moved him to our smaller outdoor pond which actually has better dimensions for his "lifestyle", but this is a temporary fix at best. I didnt want to post him anywhere that someone would say, Hey cool, big fish, and then proceed to keep him in something the same size or smaller.
