Polypterus ID help

This was sold to me as a palmas polli, I had bichirs about 10 years ago, but just got back into the hobby. I know its not a polli because it has too many spine finlets. Polypterus Delhezi? Anyways, here is the fish.

I think you're right about it being a delhelzi, and right now it has faded patterns too. I think I still see the external gills on it.

I got 2 of these, the are about 3" from snout to tail, I dont see external gills on either of them. Thank you though, confirms what I thought, I had delhezis in the past, so I'm not disappointed, I want to inform the LFS though so hopefully they will start selling them correctly.

Thanks for the responses everyone, these guys were some of my favorite polys 10 years ago, so I'm not mad at all about the mislabeling.
