you could also use a piece of string or yarn to collect the eggs of let the eggs stick to the yarn, or if you have time put the egg bound sen in the new tank and let her scatter the egg there, then return her to the tank after (well its easier to collect one P. Sen. than collecting scattered eggs)

congrats,

not that i've bred bichirs, just suggesting that's its easier to collect and transfer the fish than collecting the eggs one by one.

lots easier to catch the fish-Anne

i would say leaving the eggs alone would be the best bet, but if you did move them moving the entire fish may stress it and prolong the whole thing

Heres your choices
A.Remove as many eggs as possible to another tank for hatching
B.Remove the parents and use the breeding tank as a hatching and rearing tank
It's your decision but anyway you look at it one or the other needs to be done if you're hoping for viable eggs and fry-Anne

I think on his other thread he said all of the eggs were eaten.

If you are speaking of me, is300zx, than you are exactly right, i have another recent thread
What do the poly experts think
I was explaining the philosaphy of only the strong surviving, BUT in this thread i state that if you WERE GOING to move the eggs than it may stress the female, have a better look at posts next time you try n quote me
