They not collecting them or are they practically extinct?

I think it's more of they are a seasonal fish that is in a small dangerous area. So collecting them has many different difficult phases. That mixed with the fact they were only declared a species about 10 years ago. I'm not 100% sure on that though. KingEl will probably have more insight on the collection difficulties if any at all.

hey r just really really really rare in te u.s. Very few get brought here an the ones that due usually get bought ASAP

That would be awesome...we don't always know how hard some species are to obtain.

There is a Senegal in a lake in Africa that reaches 24"+ .... But it's so dangerous in the area no one even attempts it .... Witch sucks for collectors who who would kill for a sen of those sizes
