updates on a couple bichirs. enjoy

here are the photo captions
1) P. palmas buettikoferi
2) S. Volta P. endli endli. it was maybe 1"-1.5" smaller than the fish underneath it a little over a month ago.

3) my favorite upper jaw species, and what i think is the prettiest bichir, 'P. palmas palmas' (in quotes)
4) the other side. the bichir behind is also 'palmas palmas'
5) palmas palmas got great dorsal pattern. two buettikoferi on right for comparison.

6) more comparison. palmas palmas on top, buettikoferi on bottom. note different dorsal patterns.
7) another shot. and the P. mokelembembe decided to sneak in
