Polys and leaf litter?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
magpie magpie im doing a 50% this weekend, ill test the water prior to and post results.

It really does seem to help ensure that even the shyer eaters get their share of food since the really aggressive feeders dont want to dig around for food they just eat as it falls.

between the leaves and running the leds on a dimmed red/green blend to give sort of a sunset color scheme im seeing all sorts of cool behaviors and activity from my polys and catfish. Getting to watch the shovelnose probe through the leaves with his snout to find food is really cool and my ornate figured out that he can ambush feeder shrimp and fish by hiding in the leaves until they come by. if i could figure out how to post a video i would. might just make a youtube channel for that purpose

Thank you!

With the red-green blend lighting... can you fully control your light, as in X clicks of red, X clicks of green, white, etc? Or is the dimmer setting one that is built in to the light?

My light has programmed modes (including storm, which I think is weird LOL) but then you can manually set the LEDS and save them. I just lost patience with messing with them.

magpie magpie its fully customizable. I can blend the RGB's and the 6000k whites any way I want. I really like using the simulated weather. I usually have mine set for rolling cloud cover during the day then I switch it to one of my dimmed custom settings when I get home after the T5's are off then do a sunset mode into a blue night setting or a full red setting
