Polys with africans

So my wife wants an african tank. I want an ornate bichir. Can i do that or will the african kill the bichir. Any help would be great. Thanx in advance.

Only issue in IMO is will ornate get enough food.

Yeah i thought about that but i could use a tube to get the food to the bottom.

Using a tube works well. I've done that to get past the giant danios. Just get a long piece of PVC and put the food through it.

When bichers are small feeding them with other fish is a challenge, but when bicher is over six inches feeding is easy in my experience because you could feed bottom feeding pellets of different varieties. Also offer small pieces of Tilapia, or Whiting.

I do that now but if I feed frozen I still use the tube cause it doesn't sink as fast.

Hadn't gotten that far yet. I'm in the research it stage at the moment. I wanted to see if it was a good idea before I started to look at a firm stocklist. If have suggestions I would be very happy to hear them. Thanks
