so guys, what are the possible things i can do to prevent algae/green water in my pond? other than uv sterilizer.

-Liquid Peat
-Plants trees nearby to provide shade
-Add various plants in the water
-top up the pond regularly

Green water is often a result of ammonia and nitrate build up aside from direct sunlight. If my pond is loaded with Elodea densa, green water often is not an occurrence.

what do you exactly mean when you said top-up the pond?

If the water level is lower than it could be, fill it up.

Algae is a byproduct of excess light and nutrients. Remove them, and you'll largely remove the occurrence of algae.
