Thanks for the positive feedback guys. Will be framing the filter/pump pad tomorrow.

These fiberglass cast rocks are very light and reinforced with rebar to allow for proper anchoring. These are purchased and not made on-site. If I break out my mechanical and civil engineering degrees I would be more concerned about the workers not wearing hard hats or fall into the pond than damage to the pond. The over hang was actually analyzed for bending moment and to support a 200 lb man standing six inch from the edge. Very nice to hear someone applying engineering to the build. Thanks.

Lol I thought you were filling them with concrete. Haha my bad

nice build ken..

jeez Ken when you said you worked with ponds i did not envision all of this! this build is pretty awesome. i'll have to remember this thread when i build a pond for my folks. is the concrete you sprayed on called gunite (spelling?)?

This pond was not shot but formed because it was small. I will update pics in the next few days. The pipe stub outs for the pumps are done and the craving of most of the rocks are done. Gas lines are also in for two fire rings and a line of fire under the waterfall. Who needs a heater when you got fire?
Vil all your fish are doing great in my outdoor pond. Sun cats and pang cats are about 6". Channel cat is about 11". Cichids are 6".

This has to be the coolest pond I've seen as of yet.....can't wait to see the finished product!!!
