you don't look thru a pond, just into it, so it's not filtered as clearly.

I'd knock the UV off it first and see how it works

How big is it and what filtration are you running??

Thanks! One tank is a 7x2x2 and the other is a 6x3x2, each tank has a 75g W/D sump, FBF, and some random hang on backs for added mech filtration. I also have them running on a 24hr drip system.

I'd try it out. My experience w/ pressurized pond filters is that they are great at mechanical filtration, but lack in the bio department. Right now I'm using a Cyprio Bioforce 100 on my 350g pond. It's used mainly for mechanical as my bio occurs is a 55g drum.

I think I might if I can get a Laguna maxi-flo for a reasonable price or if some could recommend me a good quality mag drive wet/dry pump rated to about 4000l/h.
