Pond canisters in the home aquarium

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo

That's weird. As far as I know, they don't even make an 800 model. That must be a typo.

its close enough =P your never going to get the exact amount of water out of any pump else your using it as a wave maker.

Id be keen to see what my pump is, maybe they just placed the wrong sticker on yours.

I bet you are right and it's just a typo/error. I ordered six 300W eheim jager heaters a few months ago. One of them had a 150W label on it, although it was definitely a 300W (I tested it on my kill-a-watt).

Can those Lugana pumps be mounted outside of the aquarium (wet/dry)? I like the look of them!

I know of a few guys that use these external. They are popular among reefkeepers and those guys are always trying to keep heat out of the tank, so they mount them externally. The only issue is that they do not have a flat bottom. They are designed to lay on their side within the cage that comes with them and the bottom has a "V" shape to it, although there are plenty of ways to make a flat bottom base for them.

sounds nice, pump looks pretty good. personally I use lagunas I find they last long as are bullet proof to a sense plus they handle the head height much better then other pumps. it will use 100W for the same lph though.

My friend swears by pond filters, his tank is very clear so I guess they must work, I prefer sumps can run more tanks off the one but for a single tank your idea sounds great.

So what kind of mechanical capacity do they have? I see that they have a uv bulb in the center( at least the 3200 does which is what I was interested in)
