Hello people's. I've been put in charge of building and main ring a pond a my job( an SPCA). It's going to be for turtles when we get them in. The dimensions will be 3 ft wide, 5 ft long, and 2 ft in depth. It will be above ground. I was wondering what kind of filtration to use, I know nothing about outdoor ponds so any advice or recommendations welcome thanks

It's about 224 gallons so you could make your own filter, which is cheaper and mot of the time much more effective than pre-made ones or you could buy canister filters for ponds.

Yup a sump would be good. But a bog filter will go a long way in curbing algae.

Bog filters, sometimes called veggie or vegetable filters, remove organic and inorganic waste from pond water. A pump forces water through PVC pipe buried in pea gravel. The pea gravel traps the waste and the bog plants planted in the gravel use the waste as food, removing it from the filter.
Good pond filtration makes all the difference to the quality of water in your pond. And there are also good quality of pond pumps are available in good price.
