it runs on gas like methane or propane

not gasoline

besides we arent short on that kind of gas
all fossil fuels are suppose to go up not just gasoline

Natural gas has already increased 32% here (over last year)
any petrolium based product will probably jump a lot if it hasnt already

Why couldnt you just use a swimming pool heater? Could someone make that work?

Same type heater as above made from a travel trailer water heater and a 32 g storage tub, everything new, around $300, salvaged from a junker, ???.

methane and propane, can be man made

in L.A at the end of their waste treatment proccess they collect the methane gas from the waste in canisters and send it to a powerplant which right next to the facilities, the gas provides electricity and natural gas for water heaters and stoves.

also in some places some garbage dumps are harnessing the gas that builds up in the landfills to collect and ship to powerplants and energy companys.

and these kind of gases are not fossil fuel.

well more than likely this "heater " is going to run off of your house's gas line
point being this winter, the price of natural gas is going to go up.
even so.... this past weekend i went to fill up a 5 gallon propane tank and it cost
me 18.00 dollars!
