WOW!!!

so uh what kind of gas does a stove run on??

cant be propane cause it smells like ****
r u serious! it's probably natural gas
i seriously do not think it's propane unless you live in a rural area?

Another interesting source for heating an outside not to large pond, are the heaters from "Clepco"
http://www.clepco.com/aqua.shtml
these guys have special heaters for aquculture, stainless steel and with lots or watts (of course elecricity is an issue, but you can't have it all)

I used 2 500 watt titanium heaters in a 1000 gallon $39.99 each. Held temp at 78 degree F no problem with ambient temp of 40 degree F

People are bi*ching about heating their houses and we are finding ways to heat ponds. Guess we are all republicans here. LOL

A thought just came to mind as I cleaned up the dog puke off the rug. See my mothers on vacation this week and we're taking care of the dogs. They have two ****-Szu's. Anyway how much do dogs cost to maintain? I mean the energy cost to heat a pond over a year is certainly comparable to keeping a dog. Dogs need yearly check-ups and they need to be fed and lets face it dogs wear things out (so do the kids). Dogs become especially costly when they're older. My mothers dog has cost them over $1200 this month! How many people do you know that have multiple dogs!? Vets don't give discounts when you bring in three dogs that's for sure. I love dogs I'm just saying our hobby isn's especially costly.
