acrylic tanks are not held together with silicone, as silicone bonds extremely poorly to acrylic.

what kind of cement is used for acrylic? I just assumed this was silicone, it may not be. If i was to reseal it, what should i use?

A local plastics supply house will carry them. I cant remember if Home Depot carries the Weld-On.

These products are the solvent of the base material of Acrylic...When used they chemically desolve the parts being joined...in just a very short time after the parts are put together, the solvent evaporates leaving the joint as one solid piece...if done correctly, there isn't even a single air bubble in the joint. So it's like not having anything extra on the joint...

yeah, i figured, lol. I will try to get pics soon, at least of it in the attic. The problem now it that i have no where to set it up at the moment I wish i did though . . .
