Pond Pumps from HD and other stores!?!?

Well this pond pump i was going to get was rated at 4500 GPH, @ 360 watts. Should i get this pump instead of a Mag Drive 24 maybe i wont have to get another heater lol. Its just that im not sure how these pond pumps do in aquarium setup in terms of long term use and such. Is 360 Watts really a lot for this pump. Also by time i have setup this in a 125 G tank its going to be doing about 3200 GPH now is there such thing as too much turnover. because im sure i can turn down the flow within the tank by just easily having this go straight down to UGJ system as well as a spray bar, now now sure if it will work or not. Anyone got any ideas?

3200 GPH for a sump for a 125 gallon? Did I read that right? Are your overflows going to be able to handle that much?

If this is for a sump, my understanding is that sump-filtered tanks need about 3-5x in terms of GPH. You're at 25x. Might be a little more than you need. Maybe I misunderstood.

mithesaint the reason im buying such a large pump already is because i figured if i did ever decided to go for a larger tank i can save money by buying a large pump already. Now im not sure if too much turnover is technically bad for the fish or not thats why im asking around how this setup would work...also ill have my tank pre-drilled so yes it should be able to handle a fairly good amount of flow. 2x 1.5" holes in the back of the tank. Im still thinking about the return becoming a straight UGJ system...still needs some researcher on how that would work out...

bigdanderson would you happen to know what brand it is, also how much GPH it does. Any info would be great, in terms of noise level-heat level-vibration level-watt usage-maintenance-efficiency-anything you know about that pump of yours would be greatly appreciated if mentioned.

thanks guys...
