Back in the old days (no offence) that’s not surprising! But after the snakehead and Chinese carp issues in the states I figured the nanny state of the EU would be rabidly trying to ban stuff!

They're currently enforcing rules on reptiles, especially Cites Cat.1 lizards as of now.
Venomous reptiles are only allowed with a certain license.

I don't think a single animal is forbidden here, if you get the right permit.
I own an endangered species of lizard, and all I had to do was fill 3 papers and pay about 300€.

Venomous snakes require a permit, but my marbled motoro doesn't. xD
