I know this subject has been beat to death and I was set to go with a painted turtle for my setup when I got to thinking about non-natives. I live in florida and I figured it would open my options for keeping turtles outside. I will have a few small koi in this pond for a while so whatever I pick has to do ok with fish and stay fairly small. I was thinking maybe a reeves or murray river turtle but I haven't found much information on these turtles being kept with fish so I'm open to suggestions and opinions. Thanks.

I think a reeves woudl be a great pond turtle... althought they will eat some plants. They are not as agile enough to bite your koi, althought they might get a nip here and there.... they nomarlly dont get big, but you have your exceptions.
