Pond water changes and waterfall flow

also if the pond is outside a good vegi filter will mean waterchanges can be done every 6 months to replace minerals ect .

vegi filter as in plants? I'll have a few plants. I dont think Im gonna just rip 45 mil plastic LOL
How important is a UV sterilizer in the spring fall and winter? Dont want it on all year if it isnt needed

any tricks to putting in the liner with out getting tons of wrinkles?

Good underlayment, soft brooms, and socks or water shoes. Did I mention practice & luck?

Thanks Joe. I plan on doing it barefoot. The underlayment is man made blankets (not cotton or wool) It went in as good as can be expected. The liner seems like its gonna be a bear. 45 mils is thick

Sun will soften it a little, but then makes it hot to work with

You should be able to do the liner yourself. Clear the site of all roots, sticks, rocks etc. Lay underlayment, and lay out the liner in the lawn. The sun will help make it a little suppel and more manageable. Try to lay it over the entire pond, like making a bed. If it is to big, fold it in half, place in middle of pond, and unfold other side. Barefoot is the way to go, but 45 mils. is really tough, so clean gym shoes will do. Smooth out over any shelfs, try to leave a little extra fold in the creases. These creases will not be noticed and will smooth out when water is filled.

Any rocks or gravel in the pond? If planning in doin so, use smooth rocks, not like the ones around the edges. Those look great around the edges, but are pointed an may cause probs. in the pond.

just a few larger rocks on the bottom with leftover liner as a cushion and not too pointed of rocks
