pond waterfall is a filter?

okay so im going to make a 4200 gallon pond
i was looking at filters for ponds and i came across these
do these work as filters for a pond and would they be suitable for mine?
also which one is better?

Unless you need the flat surface coming off of the front of them I would just make one using a bucket or rubbermaid tub. As long as you can hide it you can make something that does the same thing for a fraction of the cost.

as long as they're filled with media that can hold bacteria they would be great.
 
quite a few in a 4200 gallon pond.... especially with good bio filter
 
I use the skimmer/bio-falls for my pond.

Crystal clear water, healthy fat fish, super low maint.
