pond waterfall is a filter?

okay so im going to make a 4200 gallon pond
i was looking at filters for ponds and i came across these
do these work as filters for a pond and would they be suitable for mine?
also which one is better?

also do i need a pump for these and if so would this one be good

They will all work, get the 5000 pump.

But if your a DIY'er you can get by for less like rallysman said, even using some 30g or 55g plastic barrels (if it doesn't have to look pretty or you can hide them remotely).
