pool filter sand

I don't know how big this chain is, but I got mine at Leslie's Pool Supplies. I tried going to Home Depot and Lowes, but they didn't have any. So I'm assuming that you can find them at pool supply shops.

anywhere. pool supply stores or home depot or lowes. if you can try to find out what kind of PFS it is. my pool filter sand took so long to clean it wasnt funny.

Nope...I think you need to clean them more than the ones you would buy at a pet store. But the cost is way cheaper. It took about 45 minutes to clean 50 lbs of sand for me today.

45 minutes you are lucky. two days for me but with pauses in between. what is that gray stuff anyways? pool filter sand is supposed to be clean right? its for the pool.

45 minutes and a sore back for the next 2 hours  I was planning to go to the gym today to, but I don't want to screw up my back now. What gray stuff? When i was cleaning my sand, it was all brown. Not quite sure how pool filter sand works since I don't have a pool

I heard about pool filter sand, but when I went looking for it at Lowes I found the play sand, I had to clean it for a while, but once it all was rinsed it worked very well. It also was a good price, I got it for $3.50 for 50 pound bags.
