I've got pool filtration on my 600 gal, though it looks different than what is pictured there. Works AWESOME, and I've got a heavy bioload of gluttonous, large catfish. Definitely tell us more about what's headed your way.

sorry i never give enough details always in a hurry lol, so its going to be for an established 55 gallon, or 2 depending on the gph, its a very small filter about a 2 feet high, the tank has bichirs and there very clean but id love to get all the filter tubes out, i just built a new stand and canopy and want to make it look nicer. i have ac110's on them now, and sumps on the others and have never done a canister type filter and dont really know where to start as far as media and all that

I have a sand filter (biofiltration) and a canister filter (its an equivalent of fine filter floss) on mine. I'd need to know more about the filter you are getting to actually be of any help. Be aware that I also have a pool pump to run the pool filtration. You may not be able to get good use out of the filtration if you don't have a pump large enough to run it. Or, if it has a pump inside of it and it's gallon per hour turn over rate is too high for your 55, you may have a hurricane in your tank. So, yeah. More info about the filter is needed. :)

k well i get more info and post tomaorw, but from looking at it a while ago i think its only like 800gph so i can use the pump, but as for the filter itself its just an empty can, they use and removable filter and thats it, so hose in to bottom out on top and nothing inbetween, the pump is external

Looking forward to getting the model number. It may be a great already set up thing for you to plug and play. Or, it could end up a nice DIY project.
