Anyone ever use one of those small pools for a grow out tank? you can get a Intex No Cover EasySet Pool with Filter Pump - 8'x30" : Target. Its 639 gallons..of course i wouldnt fill it to the top but didnt know if anyone on here has ever used something like this...any suggestions?
I have never used this setup, though I know some members of the local Cichlid club use this pool or one that looks like it. They all have a DIY filter systems in use. Good luck and keep us updated of you go this route.
