:character0004: the thing is you whould have to be able to make a side be transparent for monster fish are to be seen from the side or they'll loose half the fun...

my father inlaw decided to convert their swimming pool into a koi pond, he drained it all out, painted the bottom black and refilled it, biggest pond ive seen. deepest part of the pool is 10ft. not sure on how many gallons, but the pool is not small.

Sounds awsome, got Pics?

It would be cool! But the pool is to fun in the summer and it would pain to deal with in the Minnesota winters.

Down south on the other hand...

I had 18,000g of goldfish for four years, but some 'fish safe' algaecide did 'em all in. It worked too well and as the algae died, it sucked all of the oxygen out of the water. I have a DE filter with ozone, and I had to clean the filter daily to keep the water clear. For the last two years, nothing I would do would work. Weekly water changes is way out of the question. I learned about wet/dry filter research in Japan just before I decided to try the algaecide.

Now I am raising feeder tadpoles in it...
