Gotta love the awesome literary skills of the product of America's public education system. It is really weird that some of the people who have never been here have better English skills than the people who speak it.

Was that off topic, or right on?

And umm, my pool, all 18000g of it was my pond for the last four years. I have lost fish to numerous birds, a turtle, and a bullfrog. And a whole bunch of them to a bottle of fish-save algaecide.

i'm about to do the same thing with 2 pacus but they are big ang the pool asn't been used for 3 years it has green water and 3 kois living there for 2 years now... eheheh:cool-1:

chlorine has a half life of 12 hours before uv light breaks it down. This is why I laugh at the huge amount of money people throw away on dechlorinators - I laugh harder when they use a uv filter.

Stabiliser can double that half life but so long as the free chlorine levels are not detectable, chlorine is not going to be a problem.

try putting a net over the pool if u want to do that......

Hiya Jo NZ, unfortunately here in the USA many places use chloramine and chlorine. The chlorine breaks down quickly but chloromine is much more stable, even in sunlight it can still be lethal to fish after a week and dangerous after 2 weeks. It can also decieve some test kits as water containing as high as 1ppm chloromine can test out as only 0.01ppm free chlorine.

hey chompers, speaking of literary skills are you shure you meant "fish save algeacide" or fish safe algeacide?! LOL:chillpill:

We could do this all day.... Are you sure you ment "shure"? Are you sure you ment "meant" :grinno:

When no one can understand an entire post i think something needs to be said but picking someone up on one word is silly...

Anyways......Whoever started this thread, Have a think and re-word it.... pleeaassseee
